About the Author
If you are going to read a book about developing your daily habits, it makes sense to know a little about the person who wrote the book. I’m a business and life coach and president of the personal development company, RockStar Consulting. I focus a lot of my time on helping individuals develop clarity about their personal and professional lives. One of the things I’ve found is that you can’t separate those two; the life that we lead at home directly affects the one we lead at work, and vice versa. Because they are connected, I’ve found that little changes can have a really big impact as they resonate through all the areas of our lives. I wrote The Book of Habits because these were those “little changes” that I felt everyone was wrestling with in some way.
And to answer your unstated question, I do use the habits in my daily life, but I’m nowhere near perfect. Every day is a new chance to use these ideas and some days I do pretty well, and some days, well, it makes the other days look all the better. I’ve realized that it’s not about being perfect, it’s about striving to continuously move towards your fulfillment and happiness.
